Anker SOLIX BP7000 Expansion Battery | 7 kWh

The Anker SOLIX BP7000 Expansion Battery is a modular lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) energy storage unit designed to expand the capacity of compatible Anker SOLIX Solarbank MAX system. It functions as an additional storage module that increases the total usable energy available for self-consumption of solar power, backup power supply, and energy cost optimization. By connecting one or more BP7000 units to an existing Solarbank system, users can scale storage capacity according to their household energy usage and future needs without replacing the original installation.

The BP7000 stores electrical energy generated by solar panels or drawn from the grid during low-tariff periods and makes that energy available when demand is higher or when solar production is insufficient. This enables households to reduce dependence on the electricity grid, improve utilization of renewable energy, and maintain power to essential appliances during outages when used in a system configured for backup functionality. The integrated battery management system (BMS) continuously monitors voltage, temperature, and current to ensure safe and reliable operation while balancing the battery cells internally to maximize performance and service life.

The expansion battery is built using lithium iron phosphate chemistry, known for its thermal stability, long cycle life, and high safety standards compared to conventional lithium-ion technologies. Its modular stacking design allows straightforward installation in residential environments such as garages, utility rooms, balconies, or technical spaces. Multiple BP7000 units can be stacked vertically to significantly increase total storage capacity, making the system suitable for both standard households and homes with higher electricity consumption. Up to five expansion batteries of 7 kWh each can be connected to a single compatible Solarbank MAX headunit, enabling total storage capacities of 42 kWh depending on configuration. 

The enclosure is designed for durability and reliable operation in both indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. Its weather-resistant construction protects internal components from dust and moisture, allowing flexible placement locations while maintaining safe performance. Built-in safety features include protection against overcharging, deep discharge, short circuits, overheating, and electrical faults. The battery operates quietly without active cooling fans and requires minimal maintenance throughout its lifespan. Its scalable architecture makes it suitable for phased system expansion, allowing users to start with a base Solarbank and add additional storage modules later as energy demand increases, electric vehicles are introduced, or additional solar panels are installed.
